This is a great opportunity to utilise and develop your professional skills with a small association as we tackle a whole range of housing and related challenges.
Chichester Greyfriars Housing Association (CGHA) owns and manages 101 flats for older people living independently in the Chichester area. We are financially strong and looking to invest in building more affordable housing for those in desperate need who have a local connection to Chichester.
A number of our current board members will be reaching the end of their term in the next few months and we are seeking new board members to replace them.
We are looking for people who bring experience in at least one of the following areas.
- Housing management / housing related services within a housing association or local authority
- Finance (ideally a qualified accountant)
- General business skills from the private sector including audit, HR or commercial.
If you don’t have this specific experience, but feel you have a contribution to make with different skills sets/lived experiences, we would also like to hear from you.
Applicants must be able to evidence a passion for our social purpose and a willingness and aptitude to keep up to date with emerging social housing challenges. In addition, we need people who can offer commitment and enthusiasm and who describe themselves as collaborative, enquiring and inclusive.
All roles require strategic thinking, the ability to absorb and challenge information and an appreciation of what constitutes good governance.

Board meetings are held four evenings a year, plus one board awayday.
