We are now looking to appoint a Chair.

The Chair will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, ensuring the effective governance of CLHA, ensuring organisational alignment with our key stakeholder, Camden Council, and compliance with the requirements of the Regulator of Social Housing. Regular responsibilities include chairing Board meetings, guiding discussions, building consensus, evaluating organisational performance and tenant satisfaction, and maintaining productive relationships with key stakeholders. The role involves fostering collaboration, ensuring accountability, and steering the direction of the organisation to meet its core mission and objectives.

We are looking for an enabling Chair who creates the conditions for others to contribute, constructively challenge and debate issues. You will bring senior leadership and governance experience, together with relevant operational and/or housing development experience and a sound understanding of social and affordable housing and its regulatory environment. You will have the judgement to help the Board balance ambition with organisational capacity, risk and effective delivery.

Just as importantly, you will be comfortable building effective and sustainable relationships with stakeholders, developing a constructive and trusted relationship with Camden Council as shareholder, combining political sensitivity and diplomacy with the independence expected of the Board.
